There are many options out there for this tool, but if you are a crocheter or knitter this product makes your life so much easier.

I take mine everywhere I take my yarn bag, as I call it. I always have at least 2-3 projects in my bag at any given time and since I crochet wherever I can, the holder keeps the yarn off of tables, floors, or any space that I don’t want it to touch; while also unspooling the yarn effortlessly as I work.

The brand I have is Growling in Walnut. I really like the durability of the product. It is well made and is well packaged. It does need to be assembled. They give you the screws and a screw driver to assemble. It's very simple and takes minutes.

The Spindle is magnetic allowing for ease of spinning and changing of yarn. The magnet is also quite strong and does not fall off unless you pull.

I do recommend winding your yarn into a ball before utilizing it if it is in a bullet or pull skein. If you do not, the yarn will catch sometimes and it will be harder to unspool as you work. Personally, I use an electric winder as I do not find winding balls relaxing as some do. 

This was given as a gift to me and when I opened it, it came with a card that said if you wrote a review and linked the order number you could receive a free extra spindle. Since my sister-in-law purchased it she wrote the review and emailed for the extra spindle for me, but one was never sent and the email has yet to be acknowledged. For reference the email was sent at the end of September 2024 and it is now 10/31/2024. 

Honestly, that won’t deter me from ordering more spindles or even purchasing from them again as I really like the make of this product. It has made working on large projects with big yarn balls so efficient and fun.
